My family spent a good time here to celebrate wedding anniversary. The place is truly a neighborhood gem. Very friendly services and good food. Highly recommended to people. The place is kind of small. Good for single, small family or couple.

"Free Corkage Tuesdays"
We always enjoy our dinners here. especially great is the free corkage evening of Tuesday...BYOB of beautiful wine from home and enjoy it with great french bistro food. We shall return soon!

La Cigale is simply the best french food restaurant in Vancouver. You can enjoy excellent food in an intimate atmosphere, the service is at a personal level with the owners taking pride on the quality of each dish and making sure everything is done right. We had escargot to die for! Duck confit was glorious and the lamb shank falling off the bone melts in your mouth with an explosion of flavour. The owner came to our table to suggest wine from a rich list, she is very friendly and knowledgeable.
This restaurant is now on my top 10 list for Vancouver.

"Excellent Meal, Fantastic Staff"
Loved our meal here! The server was excellent, he has his craft perfected. Small but good menu and the food was superb. Husband and I shared the mussels, they were some of the best I have eaten. Our son loved his onion tart. He and I then had the beef cheeks which were superb, so tender and just fell apart. My husband loved the duck confit et cassoulet, he said there was cranberry in it to give sweetness. The desserts was also amazing, Crème Brûlée that tasted home made and chocolate mousse. Wonderful meal, couldn't be faulted. I'm sure we will be back on a trip to visit our son at UBC.

"Excellent food and great atmosphere"
One of the best meals we’ve ever had. We dined on a Thursday evening and had the $35 fixed menu. All three courses were absolutely delicious. Had the onion tart, the beef cheeks and creme brûlée. The portions were very generous and service was great. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing brunch! It was our first time to a restaurant since Covid hit, and the 4 of us went out for Father's Day brunch. We were very nervous, but immediately put at ease by everyone. We were physically distanced from other tables, and the waitress was respectful, prompt, and wore a mask the entire time.
The food was amazing! We had the pulled pork eggs Benedict, the French omelette, the croque monsieur, and the pain perdu. Every single mouthful was amazing, and the portions were generous. I look forward to going back there again for date night with my husband... Totally worth it!

Onion soup is must try. I also ordered the onion tart with goat cheese. This is the first time I tried something like this. Surprisingly this is so delicious!
Duck confit is also must try. Braised Beef cheek is super tender. Finished with baked berry crumble with ice cream. Sour and sweet is perfect match with each other. Bravo!
